Of course scandal would accompany
Cups of ruby, crystal and other gems.
Wealth, if not beauty, will always carry
A certain taint, especially when argued over
By conservatives and dems.
Let’s vote for a reasonable voice
Calling for a moratorium on predatory loans
And rolling our dice on precious stones.
Isn’t it time to trade on other means
Considering the earth has put to us too many liens?
Note: My frequent readers would’ve noticed that I missed a post yesterday. Unfortunately I was caught up in various activities including watching the World Cup and running errands to get ready for my brother’s wedding this weekend. On the same note, I will likely miss Thursday and Friday when I’m out of town for the wedding (if I can’t find the internet and some spare time). Congratulations, Gregory and Monica!
