Rhymes for Tax Day 2010

A first post for a blog all mine,
In which I comment, contextualize (and link)
And make daily rhymes for our times
And hopefully make you chuckle or think.
Or bookmark.
So I can make a mark on this internet
That links us immediately, yet intermittently.


I’m not the first to attempt such a project:
Poetfolio.com in a book by Jess Walter
But his character tried and tragically faltered,
Gov. Arnold included an acrostic in a letter,
Honestly, I’m not sure I can do better.
It might be best to find some Collins
(Billy, not Phil) or another laureate.
But if you stick with me, you might find fire in the sky
Volcanoes on ice lands that wipe out rock bands,
Or free coffee on tax day.
